What is the Fanta Fund?

VWS is funded through private donations and grants. In order to ensure consistent funding for our canine advocate, Fanta, we are endowing the program. When enough funds have been accumulated, VWS will pair with the Arizona Community Foundation to endow the “Fanta Fund” to then provide earnings from the donations that will pay for the upkeep, training, medical costs, and needs for our canine advocacy program.

Please consider helping VWS solidify the canine program for all victims of the future. Your donations are 100% directed toward this fund until we reach the goal amount. This will ensure that Fanta can sit with children while they testify in court and that a canine advocate will be on-site to comfort a child as they share their story of abuse to a forensic interviewer or detective. Fanta and those who will follow help ease a victim’s trauma as they go to court, as they tell their story, as they seek counseling or simply to offer comfort when waiting to visit with their advocate.
